Salt Lake Weekend

A few weeks ago, Sam and I got to go up and spend the evening with my nana and grandpa Wayne. We started out the evening getting caught on the freeway in a flashflood. At least Sam was looking pretty cool in his glasses driving his favorite car:

When we got up to Salt Lake, we stopped by my nana's house to drop off our stuff and then headed over to the Bountiful temple to do an endowment session. It ended up taking way longer than we thought, so we were all starving when we left at almost 9:00 pm. Wayne's favorite restaurant in the area is The Mandarin, which coincidentally is Sam's favorite restaurant. They were two happy guys. We had a great dinner and great frozen yogurt after too. Then, we got to spend the night at my nana's house, so we could easily attend my friend Maren's missionary farewell in Fruit Heights the next morning. She is headed to Brazil, so she and Sam had fun chatting a little in Portuguese. We had a great time!
